In the Team Fortress games, certain types of Ammo are used for weapons. All of the ammo is from the original Quake, as TF is based on it. Ammo can be picked up in either Backpacks or items that contain only a certain type of ammo.

ShellEdit

The Shotgun Shell is used by the Single Shotgun, Super Shotgun, Minigun, Tranquilizer Gun, Sniper Rifle and Automatic Rifle.

NailEdit

The Nail is used by the Nailgun, Super Nailgun, Railgun and the ETF Tranquilizer Gun.

RocketEdit

The Rocket is used by the Rocket Launcher, Grenade Launcher, Pipebomb Launcher and Incendiary Cannon.

Cell (Metal)Edit

The Cell is used by the Flamethrower, the Scout's Scanner, the Minigun in QWTF and ETF, the Bioweapon in ETF, and as building material for the Engineer (Metal).

Medkit (QWTF only)Edit

Medkit ammo is used by the Bioweapon to give a target health greater than its max. This ammo type is not found in TFC and ETF.
