The Gentle Manne's Service Medal is a cosmetic item that was obtainable for the Soldier. It is a small, circular gold medal, worn on the chest with a team-colored ribbon. The medal was not found or earned in-game, but instead was given away through a hidden page on the Classless Update website.
The medal was awarded to the first 11,111 players who visited the page. After the Template:Patch name, the medals became individually numbered up to #11,111 in the item's description.
Notes[]
- The item's description was written by Lamech for the Hat Describing Contest.
- Upon winning a charity auction for Child's Play, a Team Fortress 2 player named Vulcnor received Gentle Manne's Service Medal No. 11,112, along with one of every other game item.
Trivia[]
- The name of the hidden page (today_is_a_good_day) is a reference to one of the Soldier Responses.
- 38 un-numbered medals were granted to Valve employees.
- A medal that resembles this one was placed on the RED and BLU Soldier action figures
